My Dream

I'm still brainstorming my post on Web2.0. I have a goal of recording everything in the world into a database. Everything from the weather to my sales and tips, right down to what people ordered, along with demographic information such as age and sex of the individuals who ordered it. I want to collect the data on how I did my hair that day, and how much water I drank. What did I eat and who did I talk to. There has to be a pattern and a correlation somewhere. When not a single person asks me for Heinz 57 sauce in the first 2 months, and then multiple people ask for it in the same day. When I sell a disproportionate number of coconut shrimp in one day, it must mean something. There must be something somewhere that brings this all together and looks at the patterns that emerge. I remember a story about WalMart's collected sales data, that lets them know that sales of strawberry pop-tarts increase seven fold when a hurricane is coming through. I want to be able to see that. Coco Sales soar on days between 75 and 87 degrees that follow a day of rain. Tips are higher on the second Tuesday of odd months. Weird shit like that cause I know it would happen. The semantic web brings this dream closer by labeling all the information for easy processing and cataloging. I've always thought that it is a waste for people to have to do work with data that is already in a computer. At work we print reports out of the Panasonic terminals and the credit card processing machines, then we enter that data right back into the computer in the back. It doesn't make any damn sense. A while back everyone touted the idea of the paper-less office, I think they finally shut up after they realized they did it all wrong and now they have more paper than ever trying to get the information out of one system and into another.
When the paper-less office was introduced it was all these companies saying ok put all of your data into my software. Sweet now all my sales data is in software from company X and all my customer information is in software from company Y. But wait what if I want to correlate my sales data with my customer data. Well that's easy print it all out, and get the interns to put it into a spread sheet. If company X and company Y had thought about it a little further they would see what is coming to light now. With all the new syndication formats, and ways of combining data (rss, atom, rdf, ajax, etc) we are starting to see companies realize that they can no longer lock your information into their product, cause you'll just go use someone else's.

Workin like crazy

Well in order to make the money I need for school, I've been working virtually every day, not too condusive to blogging. Anyway, Not much has been going on, I haven't even talked to Cheryl or Jess (a little phone tag with both).
I've been spening my online time looking into the whole web2.0 thing. I'm finding it very interesting and have been brain storming in effort to do a nice write up on the subject.
I haven't found any time to read but I did work out a little progress meter to keep track of how far I've gotten.
My Dad's birthday is Thursday, I got Friday off so that we can go out to dinner. YAY.
Mackenrow is good, I haven't gotten to spend as much quality time with her as I would like. Most of the time we have spent has been at work. I've been picking up closing shifts whenever I can, and have actually been getting paid for some of them.
On Saturday I was forced to do some manual labor helping my Dad rip out my Aunts Kitchen. I got woken up at 7 by my mom, after having gone to bed at 4 and I worked at 4. It was supposed to be a breaker shift, but i switched with Ben to close.
I'm not going to be able to make it to Vegas this Year, I need the money. I guess Defcon will have to go on without me.
I move in at school on the 17th of Aug. I have to go to court in Colusa on the 15th, and I start class on the 22nd.

Audi-Oh iPod Vibrator : Gizmodo
"The mesmerizing Audi-Oh is the very first vibrator that vibrates to the throbbing beat of music, sexy talk, or any external sounds."
I for one think this is a great idea.

People are doing some crazy cool shit these days

Thursday Night Lost-n-Found

Alright guys so a few people left some stuff at my house on Thursday.

Blue Puma Jacket

Tan button up shirt

Black Pull-over wind breaker

Drinking Jenga Game

O'neill Hat (Macenzies?)

And now...

The rest of the week

I worked on Tuesday and we went bowling afterward. I ended up getting off in time to take my time eating and go home and change before bowling, that was nice. I haven't been bowling as well as the first tie I went with Mckenzie, but she ended up getting a really good score the first game.
Wednesday was relatively uneventful. I slept till about 1. Mckenzie came over and we hung out till she had to go to work. I like nothing time.

The big Thursday

OK so Thursday was interesting. I had to wake up at 5 to leave the house at 6. My mom followed me on her bike to Mckenzie's house. Then We followed my mom all the way to Monterey, well Salinas but close enough. Then we drove to Laguna Seca to drop off the 1000 magazines that were the reason for the trip. That went off without a hitch and then we went to breakfast, yum.
Mckenzie and I left my mom at the hotel and went down to the Warf where we walked around and looked at crap. Then we walked around down town and got to see some sweet bikes they had at the Plaza hotel for a big charity auction. Then we drove down through cannery row and then a little farther to a park that overlooked the ocean. We sat against a rock and looked at the ocean for a little while so I could rest for the drive home. I hadn't gone to bed till 1am, had to wake up at 5am and hadn't slept in the middle. I was tired. We started back home and ended up stopping in Gilroy to rest more. I was really tired. Since we were there we went around and looked what Outlets they had, we didn't end up buying anything, but we did get a Mcy D's Ice cream cone. Back on the road I crews controlled it all the way back to help prevent against tickets. The rest in oakdale was awesome.
We got back to Mckenzie's house and hung out for a little before she had to go to class. We ate some samiches. After I left Mck's I called Cheryl and she told me that everyone was getting together at Central Park for Tracy's going away party. We cooked burgers and through around the football and kicked around the soccer ball. It was a good time. Cheryl showed up a little later with more beer, that was good. Then Mckenzie showed up after her class. I like her. It got kinda cold so everyone got bundled up and we hung out for a little while longer before Josh's Softbal game. The game started out really good but they ended up loosing, oh well.
Friday is Nathania's 21st Bday and they were going to go out to El Balazo, but we all came back to my place instead. It was a small gathering at most 30 but we really knew everyone and it was good fun.
We will miss you Tracy!
Happy Birthday Nathania!

UPDATE: There are pictures from Thursday on the Picture Page

After Sunday comes Monday

Ok so yeah I'm capable of determining what day it is just by knowing what the day before was. It's a skill, girls like guys with skills.
So Monday was the fourth of July and my parents were both home and not working. They went for a ride early, and when they came back we went to the 11:30 War of the Worlds. It was a good movie I enjoyed it, but I think (Spoiler alert) Robbie should have died.
After the movie I pretty much just sat around for a while with the rents and I ate a pizza before I had to be at work.
Work sucked balls, It was really dead but fortunately Jess, Breanne, and Cheryl came in to see me, well to hang out and drink anyway I think they ended up seeing more of some of the other outback employees. Anyway that was cool. My last table was a group of People of middle eastern decent, I don't know how your supposed to say that. Apparently they don't celebrate the 4th or something cause they just chilled for hella days. I was trying to get out of there so that Mckenzie and I could go see the fireworks together, but by the time they left and we were on the road, we had missed the end by like a couple minutes. We got to see a few from the freeway.
We met up with the girls at Brandon's house where we chilled and ordered a couple pizzas and crazy bread. That was a good idea.
TJ called Cheryl and was having a get together as well, so we went over there. Rob, Mike O, and TJ were there along with some guys they know and a girl named Stacey who apparently works at Hooters. It was a good time, check the pictures to see for yourself. Rob got the girls to play a game of strip poker in which the girls all ended up loosing at least there tops. Good job Rob! At about 1ish I took Mckenzie back to her car at outback. I went back to TJ's and hung out till about 2:30 when I took Jinnelle home, I got her there at about 3 which she apparently got in trouble for.

Alright here goes Sunday

Ok it's Friday and I'm blogging Sunday, I'm sorta behind but I think I'm gunna make this short cause it's kinda outdated.
So Mckenzie and I went to brunch at MCs and Dor hooked it up. Dor Rocks!
We came back to my house and hung out till I had to go to work. Damn, anyway Yep. I got off early and pretty much just came home cause I hadn't been sleeping very well or anything and that sucks.
Alright so that's Sunday in a nutshell.

Ok maybe I was wrong

Ok the end of that last post talked about the Molson fragrance and asked for feedback. I'm thinking maybe it's not real, cause uh I can't find it referenced online anywhere. But yeah Go get yourselves a stuff magazine, or come over and use mine. Tell me what you think cause I kind like the scent.

Yay Saturday off

Well I woke up early cause my parents wanted me to help them clean up the garage. With five bikes it was getting a little cramped for space. We cleaned for a few hours and I threw away a lot of crap off my work bench. But we stopped at around noon so I could go with my dad to drop his Futura off at the dealer to have some work done. When we finished there I came back home and plopped in front of the computer. I stated kinda dosing and jumped onto the bed where I proceeded to spend the next five hours sleeping.

I'm a cheap date

When I finally woke up form my nap I called Cheryl. She was chillin with Breanne and had called Stacin to come out. I went over there and we all realized we were hungry. This worked out great cause Mckenzie was working and I hadn't gotten to see her yet. Even better she was on the patio and it was dead. Stacin and I split some wings, He had the cyclone chicken and I went 9 filet style with the garlic mash, Heck Yes. Breanne and Cheryl ordered waters and Cheryl was sipping off Stacin's LITs. I had a couple Big Bloaks and was feelin a fun buzz by the time we left.
On the way back to Cheryl's place I had one of the best idea's of my life. The fireworks stand takes credit/debit cards. Awesome, about $30 later Stacin and I were the happiest two people around. We went back to Cheryl's with our newly purchased bags of boombasticness, and waited around for a little bit (I don't remember why). Then I called Mckenzie to meet us at the place where we were going to light them.
We got there and had only brought one lighter, which of course broke within the first few sparklers we tried to light. Luckily there were some guys chillin smoking in the lot and they came over and let us barrow their lighter. I just spilled sprite on the keyboard by the way. Yeah so them when I tried to turn the keyboard over to dump out the sprite, I caught the can with the cord and spilled more on me and the floor, awesome. Ok so we're lighting fireworks and I had this cool one, a big fountain with these four balls one the sides that are supposed to blow up and do something cool as the fountain thing is burning down. So I go to light a sparkler off of the fountain and just as it gets lit one of the side balls goes off. Cheryl got a picture, it's the craziest shit ever. She's being sorta weird about it though and hasn't gotten it transferred yet, I think she's busy, something about going to work from like 10pm to 7am or something I don't know :)
After that We went and got Jack in the box and hung out at Cheryl's for a while then went home cause I was tired and hadn't been getting much sleep.

Other Stuff

Ok so I've updated the audioscrobbler feed on the right. It should work and tell you the most recent songs that I'm listening to as long as I'm listening to something currently or recently. Also I've added a stats thing so I can see how often people are checking this thing out and where they are coming from how they got here and all sorts of other stuff. Interestingly enough there have been a couple people that found it through a search engine and looked around a little.
I started writing this blog at about 11:15 it's currently about 12:30. I got a little distracted by the new stuff and the sprite getting spilled. But I need some feedback from the ladies. Molson, as in the beer company has come out with a new men's fragrance and I want to know what you ladies think, cause it kinda smells like beer but it's the good beer smell. Anyway leave me some comments and let me know.

Geared up to be a long one

Friday - Golfing

Bobby and Rabbit didn't show so it ended up Mckenzie, Gabe, Henry and I. It was Mckenzie's first time Golfing ever so we had to show her how it's done. We all proceded to do horribly, even Henry wasn't doing all that well.
We got to the sixth hole and Mckenzie had been getting better, while I think the rest of us had been getting progressively worse. Henry "lost" the score card on about the third hole, so unfortunetly there is no evidence to how we really did. Anyway back to the sixth hole, like I said Mckenzie was doing better and better and she had nocked it just off the green in only a few shots. She set up about 30 feet from the pin and chipped it onto the green. Clunk... That shit rolled right into the damn cup, I guess the sixth hole is extra lucky. We finished out the last three holes and parted ways with Gabe and Henry.

I knew her mom loved my ass

After golfing we were both really hot so we went back to her place for a dip in the pool. Her mom was home when we got there but she was on her way out wich would usually mean that we couldn't go swimming cause cause there aren't supposed to be boys over when no one's home. I sat down on the couch and Mc went upstairs. Her mom cam in and asked if we were going to go swimming and I said that I thought so. She said she was on her way out to get a pineapple upside down cake pan from Williams Sonoma. She then asked me is she could trust me. Being that I'm not one to try to screw trust with a parent if I can help it I of course said yes. Mckenzie was blown away by the idea that her mom was going to leave with me still there, but hey I'm a good kid. Anyway Ingred Ingrid (That's Mckenzie's mom's name) ended up calling a couple minutes later to tell Mckenzie not to tell her little sister that I had been allowed there without a parent. Anway Alex Allix ended up coming home when we were still there and Ingred told Mckenzie to play it off like she didn't know about the whole thing and that she had gotten upset about it. Hehe. Her mom love's my ass.

The Fair

I left Mckenzies house to go do some laundry and stuff before we went to the fair. I got all my stuff done and was mostly chillin when it came around to about 5:10 or so and I realized that Cheryl had not called yet. So I called her and she said they were already there, I was slightly irritated cause she was supposed to call when they were leaving. I got over it. Called up Mckenzie and went to pick her up. I tried to help her mom figure out what to do with this outdoor candle lamp thing she had bought. And then we left. We parked in the business lot accross the street to avoid the $8 parking. We walked to the gas station before hand to get some refreshments, The lady behind the counter asked Mckenzie how old she was and almost tried to ID us so she could get some matches. I'm still not sure why she got them, but they came in handy. On to the fair, we caught up with Tracy, Belding, Adam, and Josh in the parking lot and walked in with them. After a couple of sumwhat frustraiting calls to Cheryl (she wasn't in a good mood) we met up with her, Jess and Breanne. On to the Beer. Beers were $6 so that blew but it's ok cause I didn't spend $20 on rides so I had more money for beer. I thinkI olny ened up with 2 when all was said and done. Mckenzie and I walked around and checked out the bunnies and the Gardens while everyone else hit the rides. I hadn't been to the fair before and I never realized how big the whole thing was. There were a lot of info-mercial type booths with things for sale, and Mckenzie had to save me from buying a few things. I still think I need that glass cutter thing. Anyway so good times at the fair. We were all supposed to go over to Dim's house afterward to chill but he ended up with something he had to take care of. I hung out with Mckenzie for a little bit afterward and then took her home cause I was really tired.
It was a good day. Long, but good. I didn't end up getting shot at, and Mckenzie didn't have to take any bullets, so all in all it was a good day.
