Mmmm food

My roommates have been telling people that I fixed their computers up and everything. Yesterday I got a nock on the door from a coupke freshman across the pool (Ally and Kristen). They needed some help with their internet connections and stuff. Awesome, so I went over and looked at it and found that one of them already had a connection from the wireless of her neighbor and the other's wasn't working cause she had no dial tone for the dial-up. Anyway they offered to make me dinner, I accepted. They came over and ended up making burgers for me and the guys (jeff didn't eat) and we sat around the kitchen table talking for a while.
They came back over today, Kristen had gotten the phone guy to come out so she finally at leats had dial tone. So now it still wasn't working. I picked up the phone to check the tone and it went all choppy for a bit, I figured out it was cause they had a VM message. They setup their voicemail and tried it again. It didn't work this time i found because she had plugged the phone line into the ethernet port. Granted I had checked it the day before and didn't notice myself, but whatever. Once i got that done she was up and running. I also downloaded the drivers for Kristens printer for her and got that all setup. I earned my dinner.
We went down to the main pool and chilled for a while there. I attempted to get a tan. I don't think it's working.
They fixed the kitchen window, the bathroom cieling, and the socket under my desk today. Heck yes. They still have to come back and paint the cieling in my bathroom and fix the window screens but it's getting there. I had thought that the smaller rooms on the other side of the complex were the older rooms but it turns out, as I was informed this morning by the guy that fixed the cieling, that those are actually the newer buildings, sweet.
I've always like reading about development projects and what went into getting the poroject done and such. The most fun ones are the ones that list completly random things, and the amounts of them that it took to get the project done. In that light I have decided to start measuring my college experience by such things.

First day O'Class

Alright so first day of class today. Started it out waking up at 7 even though i had set my alarm for 6:30 for what i thought was an 8am class. Turns out i hadn't set the alarm. So i woke up late but it also turns out that the class wasn't until 9, so i was actually an hour early, better than late. First class was Chem, it's gunna blow cause it's chem but the teacher grew up in canada and apparently they fuck up their grading scale to make them all look like geniouses.
I have a two hour break after that so i went to go get my book that i still needed. The book store is still out but they were able to tell me that they should have it wed or thurs. So then i trecked on over to O'Connel and got my major all changed and shit so I'm officially a mechatronic engineer. After that i crewsed on home to switch out some books and shit, and then hopped the bus with Jeff (we both have a class at noon). The bus is free so that rocks. Graphics sounds like it's going to be fun, we get to model stuff and then stress test it and crap which is awesome cause I've wanted to stress test my bike design.
Right after that Jeff and I both have our Logic class. I ended up almost falling asleep cause he spent the whole class going over number conversions from decimal to octal and hex and such. It's about the 8th time i've had to sit through a class like that and it's the most boring shit ever. And I've used it maybe once outside of each of the tests on it.
Spent the rest of the day bullshitting. They came and fixed the shower head today and they are supposed to fix the cieling from the water damage later.
My Dad called me today. I talked to him for a little while.
went to walmart with Jeff, he bought a bike, and i got some random stuff that i needed. We came back and I went to Safeway. I got a 10lb bag of rice and a crap load of noodles, and some oranges, and a big vat of lemonade. I now have the most lemonade ever. YAY.
So i chilled some more. Ryan came by and told me it was his birthday, he was trying to get a bunch of people to go out to centerfolds. It was his brthday. Jeff, the Marks, and I all went along with some other people from our building. I tried to buy Ryan a lap dance for his birthday, but he lost his walet just as I paid for it so he had nothing to tip her with. She asked me if i wanted it instead, and I had already paid so I said sure. I like lap dances. I came out with a big smile. We sat and watched a couple girls, Mark had gone in for one too. A couple min later Ryan found his wallet, this was very exciting for him. He bought a lap dance, I was out of money.
I'm getting my room put all together slowly, very slowly. I need to do some organizing and cleaning, I've got the new google deskbar 2.0beta running, it's kinda cool. I'm mostly using the todo list ssidebar plugin cause it's always right there and that's how i need a todo list to be, i don't like the idea of havig to switch over to another thing to get at it, it's not very advanced or anything but it does the job for things i need to get at the store and calls i need to make and such.
I put the desk chair that the room came with in Jeff's room, the puong that sarah brought me is sooo comfortable.
I'm thinking about a way to publish my schedule in a way that i like. We'll see.

Been a few days

So All the roommates are moved in, Jeff, Marc, and Mark. They all seem prety cool, none of us have any food. Sarah (my sis) came up yesterday (Saturday) and we hung out with her budy Scotty, and went to the free show in the Garden. Lyrics born was playing and i thought he would be cool (his single is) but he sucked, so we went to the Bear and had a pitcher of Siera Nevada Brown Ale between the three of us (good Shit) anyway, Sarah and I are relative light-weights so i was buzzed and she was a little ove buzzed. We sat and talked for a while then went back to the show to see the next band that was playing (I hate [sombody or another]) they hadn't come on yet and i decided that they would end up being a much better band with another beer so we went back to the bear for another pitcher, more talkign and bullshitting. I ended up finishing Sarah's beer and then we went back to the show and caught the very last song. The band still sucked and I was drunk so they must have been really bad.
We decided to go back to Scotty's place and stole a cone on the way to the car. He has an awesome house that he shares with a couple people but it's huge and nice. I had another beer there (Fat Tire) and we hung out for a while. Then Sarah and I walked back to my place and passed out. YAY.
This morning Sarah and I went out and got coffee, and then drove around and she showed me where some stuff is around town. We looked around and walked some of downtown and crap and then we came back and she dropped me off and started home.
I've got cable modem now. one of the guys was kind enough to let us all share off his. So no more dial up, YAY.
Mckenzie's in Cordoba for the next few days so she has internet access and I can talk to her on IM. She called me the other day and i got the phone just as it went to voice mail, and not thinking about it i just hit redial or whatever and called her back. We talked for about 10 15 min before the phone disconnected at which point I actually looked at the phone number and realized I called Spain. Yeah I didn't call her back and other than that she sorta thought i hung up on her she wasn't to upset that i didn't call Spain again..os

And so it begins

Moved into my room at UV yesterday. Setup my computer and realized that i had brought a wireless card but not a driver disk. It took me a little while to get the dialup set up today, the modem was being a bitch. Anyway, I'm, "online" with the free dial up and it's s.....l......o..........w. This has got to change.
I spent last night as the only one here. One of the Marks, the one from Kentucky (apparently some kind of exchange deal) got here this morning and dropped off a couple suit cases and then left for what seemed like the rest of the day.
The other Mark, from around Roseville, got here a couple hours ago. I took a very large nap today.
Still waiting for Jefery from Coron to show up.
I hooked up with Kaylin, and went to Target to get some random stuff. I have a "mandatory" meeting at 7pm, and another "mandatory" meeting at 9:30am tomorrow. They use the term mandatory to describe everything, but whatever.
Ha, see I do blog, and I'm here and not there now so I might actually do it. I have an update on the progress meater for my book too, I have to make it out to the car to check what page I'm on.
